Common Questions

How does Cadence work?

Record yourself speaking, and Cadence will analyze your speech to detect filler words like "um," "uh," "like," and "you know." You'll get a fluency score and a detailed breakdown of your filler word usage with timestamps.

Is my audio stored?

No. Your audio is processed in memory on our servers and discarded immediately after analysis. Session results are stored locally on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account?

Go to the Profile tab in the app and select "Delete Account." This permanently removes your user record, authentication tokens, and progress data from our servers, and clears session data from your device.

The app isn't recording or analyzing my speech.

Make sure Cadence has microphone permission enabled in Settings > Cadence > Microphone. Also check that your device has an active internet connection, as audio analysis requires a server connection.

I'm having trouble signing in.

Cadence supports sign-in with Google and Apple. If you're having issues, try signing out and back in again. If the problem persists, contact us at support@speakcadence.com with details about the error you're seeing.
